The
Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts!
The
Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts! (CDP: EWC, formerly the
Breast Cancer Early Detection Program) is sponsored by the State of
California. The program pays for eligible, low-income women to have
breast examinations and other tests that find breast cancer. The goal
is to find breast cancer early when it is more treatable. For women
who are eligible, these breast cancer screening services are free of
charge every year.
