An independent program that provides free assistance and information on your rights as a health care consumer. Experienced counselors will answer questions and explain your health care rights. Serves all consumers regardless of how they get their health coverage (for example, through an employer, Medicare, Medi-Cal, or other program). Services include education, information, referral, and direct assistance. Can help consumers appeal a health plan or medical group decision. Conducts outreach presentations to educate groups of consumers about their health care rights.
